High standards? Bring them on!
It was high time that our industry started managing its most important resource in a more responsible manner. For this reason, we have made a major change in our industrial processes to ensure that we offer wood from a responsible source. This shift in partnership with our suppliers was undertaken as part of our sustainable development program.
Our environmental commitment is not limited only to traditional wood use; we continuously integrate new green products in our industrial processes as well as our overall operations: panels made with recycled or recovered content, rapid regeneration content and reclaimed wood.
In addition to this, our assembly and finishing processes use adhesives and lacquers that have a low environmental impact. Plus, we have introduced new packaging solutions that help reduce material waste.
Energy reduction program
Trial has made significant changes to its building in an effort to reduce energy consumption. A large part of our building now also uses T5 fluorescent lights, which provide better lighting while using less energy. And, in recent years, all of our emergency lighting and signs were converted to LEDs.
Our dust collector and our make-up air system are adjusted according to production needs. In other words, they are programmed to automatically reduce or increase power depending on the number of machines being used.
SELECTIVE COLLECTION FOR PAPER, PLASTIC AND CARDBOARD AND EMPLOYEE AWARENESS PROGRAM
Recycling bins are available throughout our facilities, including in the cafeterias and at every single employee workstation. We also have plenty of signage, which serves to educate employees about the importance of recycling and inform them on which particular materials are recyclable and which are not.
PROGRAM FOR RECYCLING OF TIMBER AND OTHER DRY MATERIALS
In an effort to reduce the amount of waste we produce, all dry materials are sorted directly in our facilities. We also strive to optimize the use of raw materials, as well as cardboard, paper and more.
